Our Quality Vision:
We define Construction Project Quality as the fulfillment of the owner’s needs as defined in scope of works within the agreed budget and agreed, specified schedule.
The Construction Challenge 2023
The construction industry is fraught with challenges due to its complexity spanning the entire spectrum, that is, from design to construction. These challenges include (but are not limited to):
- Significant variability in the final project quality i.e., completion timeliness, within the planned budget and according to scope of works.
- Increased maintenance requirements within 2 – 3 years of completion.
- Reduced aesthetics
- Increasing project costs occasioned by:
- Difficulty in project cost estimation.
- The economic environment and inflationary pressures.
- Rising costs of construction materials as well as labour/services.
- Limited concrete avenues for cost reduction whilst maintaining quality and structural integrity of buildings.
- Inability to accurately predict and manage the construction process for both clients and contractors
Meeting the Challenges in 2023: How we Build
Our blocks/bricks and joists are manufactured with materials of the highest quality in the market – best cement and washed stone dust – thereby fixing quality and structural integrity of buildings.
Our system offers clients More Choices for example, to Plaster or Not to plaster with decidedly enhanced beauty (in contrast to many conventional building systems). When plastered, quality is excellent e.g. no plaster delamination.
The aesthetics of the system is obvious.
Enhanced Comfort: Due to the hollow nature of the blocks and bricks; AND the joist slabs
Our Buildings are:
- Thermal insulated – the buildings stay cool in hot weather and cold weather alike.
- Acoustically insulated – sound reduction is significant in noisy environments.
We are notably Predictable in costing (up to 95% on superstructure i.e., above foundation level) – allowing our clients to anticipate/budget/plan effectively.
- For storied buildings, we are up to 20% cheaper than conventional methods.
- We are competitive for bungalows during construction and cheaper in the longer run (significantly lower maintenance costs).
We measure thrice and cut once – the system necessitates detailed planning prior to commencing the construction process. As we build our walls we install Electrical and Mechanical First Fixes:
Stronger Buildings that can be earthquake proofed with the horizontal and vertical reinforcement.
We build fast – no horizontal or vertical mortaring without compromising quality, aesthetics and structural integrity.
We have minimal material wastage with numerous opportunities for reuse of materials.
Our sites are generally very clean.
